TAMIU Men’s Soccer Adds Gorman to Staff

LAREDO, Texas – Texas A&M International University men's soccer head coach Claudio Arias announced the addition of Killian Gorman to his staff as an assistant coach.

"We are glad to have Killian with us," said Arias. "He brings experience as a player and as a coach at the NCAA D2 level, and that's a plus. I am convinced that both TAMIU and Killian will benefit from this experience."

Gorman joins the Dustdevils after two seasons with fellow NCAA Division II member Ouachita Baptist. During his time with OBU, he focused primarily with the back line and recruiting. With the Tigers, Gorman developed nine All-Conference selections.

"I want to thank Claudio and TAMIU for the opportunity," said Gorman. "I've played against TAMIU as a player and spent seven total years at the NCAA D2 level. I know the quality that this program possesses. I'm looking forward to working with and learning from Claudio and the players, and look forward to getting back on to the field in the fall."

Gorman began his coaching career as an assistant at Hays High School in Hays, Kansas. While there, he developed multiple All-State, All-Region and All-Conference selections.

As a player, Gorman was a three-time All-MIAA and two-time All-Region defender for Fort Hays State. As a three-year starter and two-year captain, he led the Tigers to four NCAA Division II National Tournament appearances, including three consecutive National Quarterfinal berths and four-straight Sweet Sixteen trips. He also helped FHSU to their first ever MIAA Regular Season Championship in his senior season in 2017.

A native of Hodgenville, Ky., Gorman earned his bachelor's and master's degrees in health and human performance from Fort Hays State. He currently holds a United States Soccer Federation D coaching license.
