INDIANAPOLIS - Texas A&M International University sophomore men's golfer Mauricio Figueroa heard his name called on the NCAA DII Men's Golf Regional Selection Show on Friday night and will represent TAMIU in the South Central/West Region Tournament.

Figueroa was outstanding in the Lone Star Conference Championships earlier this week, bringing home the individual championship, shooting an LSC Championship record -16 (200) for 54 holes. He is the first golfer in school history to bring home an individual conference championship.

The NCAA DII Men's Golf South Central/West Region Tournament will take place Thursday, May. 3 through Saturday, May. 5 in Pueblo, Colo.
