WICHITA FALLS, TX TAMIU Men's Golf finish 16th after 54 holes in the Midwestern State Invitational Tuesday.
The Dustdevils competed against 18 other teams in a 54-hole course comprised of three rounds of play. In round one TAMIU finished 17 over par with Senior Elvis Steen leading the way finishing 2 over par.
In the second round of play, the Dustdevils finished 16 over par with Senior Juan Monckeberg going two over with a single par four and par three.
In the final round of play Elvis Steen went two under par with two par threes in 18 holes. As a team in the third round Dustdevils went nine over par.
Elvis Steen finished highest on the team, placing 17th individually, which is the highest finish of his season thus far.
TAMIU Men's Golf competes next in the RJGA Palm Valley Classic of Western New Mexico in the coming weeks.
