LAREDO, TEXAS - Texas A&M International head women's soccer coach Jon Hussak announced the signing of Louise Atkinson to the 2022 class on Thursday, bringing the total number to 10.

Atkinson, a native of England, joins the Dustdevil soccer family after most recently playing at Division I University of Louisiana-Monroe. She began her collegiate career at Coffeyville CC in 2020-21.

At Coffeyville CC, Atkinson was an All-American, netting eight goals and helping on 10 more in 14 games played. At UL Monroe, she appeared in nine games, accumulating 225 minutes played. Atkinson had two goals on the season and placed five of her 11 shots on goal.

"Louise is a dynamic attacking player who we feel can be used in a variety of different playing styles," said Hussak. "We are looking forward to have someone who can create opportunities as much as she can score. Coming from England, Louise further adds to a diverse team we have. Our staff are excited as to what Louise can bring to the team for next fall!"
