Arias Rounds Out Staff With Addition Of Norman Ramos

LAREDO, Texas - Texas A&M International University head men's soccer coach, Claudio Arias, announced the addition of TAMIU alum Norman Ramos to the coaching staff on Thursday.

Coming from Heartland Community College, Norman was named Head Coach for both the Men's and Women's program in 2021. Both HCC teams qualified for the National Tournament.  The women's team won the National Tournament Championship title with an undefeated record of 20-0. Norman was named District Coach of the Year and National Tournament Coach of the Year.  

Prior, Norman served as an assistant coach for both the men's and women's soccer program at HCC for 3 years and also at Illinois Central College for 3 years.

Norman returns to TAMIU, where he played soccer for two years under Arias. He began his collegiate career at Illinois Central College.  

After college, he signed with the U23 Reserve Team for the Fort Lauderdale Strikers.   

Ramos graduatde from TAMIU in 2016 with a Bachelors in Kinesiology with a concentration in Health & Fitness (BS) and a minor in Criminal Justice.
