Laredo, Texas – Texas A&M International volleyball defeated UT Tyler in three straight sets to win its fifth match in the last six outings. The Dustdevils (12-6, 3-2 LSC) defeated the Patriots (10-8, 4-3 LSC) 25-22, 25-23, 25-21.
TAMIU finished with 38 kills as a team and a .123 hitting percentage and held UT Tyler to just 32 kills.
The Dustdevils also served six aces and totaled seven blocks.
Mia Molina led TAMIU in kills with 10, Ariana Guerra added nine and Hannah Thompson finished with seven.
Thompson, Emma Lade and Lixai Perez all served two aces.
Jasmin Garcia stuffed five shots at the net, Lade dished out 34 assists and Giulia Hortelan totaled 17 digs.
