Portales, N.M. – Texas A&M Cross Country competed at the Lone Star Conference Championship on Saturday where the men placed eighth out of 13 teams and the women took 12th out of 14 teams.
Josphat Langat led the men with a 12th place finish and time of 25:37.74 over the 8-kilometer course.
Malvin Boen placed 31st with a 26:28.44, Alan Hernandez placed 60th with a 28:01.61, Ethan Chavez earned 81st with a 28:52.92, Aldo Cantu placed 93rd with a 29:34.87 and Daniel Villarreal came in 99th with a 30:26.88.
Beverlyne Kipchumba led the women with a 10th-place finish and a time of 22:31.91 over 6-kilometers.
Giselle Aguilar placed 67th with a 25:45.75, Jazlynn Villalobos came in 72nd with a 26:01.12, Rose Iminza finished in 81st with a time of 26:28.81 and Laura Jeptoo placed 109th with a 30:17.42.
The Dustdevils are in action next on Saturday, November 4 at the NCAA Division II South Central Regional Championship in Lubbock, Texas.
