Fort Worth, Texas – The Texas A&M International University Cross Country teams continued their season at the Old Glory Gallop hosted by DBU, with the women finishing 23rd in the 5K and the men placing 22nd in the 8K.
In the women's 5K,
Brenda Chepkemboi once again paced the Dustdevils, finishing 38th overall with a time of 18:34.96.
Samantha Viruel followed with a mark of 19:42.58, while
Mercy Kosgei crossed in 20:34.15.
Laura Jeptoo finished in 21:30.06, and
Jazlynn Villalobos rounded out the TAMIU lineup with a time of 22:04.78.
On the men's side,
Paul Barmao led the Dustdevils in the 8K with a time of 25:20.59, followed closely by
Alan Hernandez at 25:57.14.
Diego Pena finished in 26:31.29,
Jorge Sanchez in 26:40.49, and
Dickens Kipkogei capped off the group with a 28:28.86 performance.
The Dustdevils will next compete at the Lone Star Conference Championships on October 25th.
