Laredo, Texas – Texas A&M International University head women's soccer coach Jovany Macias announced the signing of Alexandra Garcia to the 2023 class on Wednesday. 
 
A native of Barcelona, Spain, Garcia joins TAMIU after beginning her collegiate career at Upper Iowa University in Fayette, Iowa. 

With the Peacocks, Garcia played in 18 games and started in 14. She scored one goal and dished out one assist. She took 25 shots, 12 of which were on goal. 
 
Garcia completed high school at Canigo where she also played tennis. 
 
Garcia choose TAMIU because of its strong academic programs and the opportunity to pursue her athletic interests while receiving a quality education.
