LAREDO, Texas - Texas A&M International University head women's soccer coach Jovany Macias announced the signing of Litzy Escalante to the 2023 class on Thursday.
 

A native of Houston, Texas, Escalante joins TAMIU after finding her high school career at Elsik High School. 
 

She helped lead Elsik to an 11-12 record her senior season, scoring 22 goals and dishing out five assists. She was the most valuable offensive played in 2021, 2022, and 2023, First-Time All-District in 2022, and MCP in 2022-23. 
 

Escalante chose TAMIU because of the opportunities in the soccer program and the commitment of the coaches to the players, She plans to pursue a degree in kinesiology.
