LAREDO, Texas – Texas A&M International University head women's soccer coach Jovany Macias announced the signing of Mattiese Loretan to the 2023 class on Wednesday.

A native of Caves Beach, Australia, Loretan joins TAMIU after beginning her collegiate career at Laramie County Community College (LCCC) in Cheyenne, Wyo.

Loretan helped lead the Golden Eagles to a Division I Region 9 Championship and a District Championship, netting three goals, helping on three goals, while taking 26 shots, 18 of which were on target.

Prior to LCCC she graduated from Swansea High School and played her club career for Warners Bay Football Club.

Loretan chose TAMIU because she was looking for a program to transfer to that not only performed well but played a possession style. After watching the team play she thought it was a team she wanted to be a part of and Coach Macias being willing to go above and beyond answering any questions was comforting.
