Springfield, Ill. – Texas A&M International women's volleyball earned another pair of victories on Saturday at the University of Illinois Springfield Tournament to advance to 4-0 on the season. They defeated McKendree 3-0 and Missouri Western State 3-2.
TAMIU def. McKendree 3-0 (25-19, 25-18, 25-16)
The Dustdevils took advantage of 24 errors from McKendree and only committed 12 of their own to earn the win.
TAMIU totaled 39 kills as a team and blocked 10 shots.
Senior
Ariana Guerra led the Dustdevils with 14 kills, senior
Giulia Hortelan totaled 10 and senior
Jasmin Garcia added six. Garcia also finished with five blocks. Hortelan led TAMIU with 21 digs.
Sophomore
Emma Lade dished out 31 assists and served two assists.

Guerra led the team with 18 kills, freshman
Anna Ligart added 12 and Hortelan finished with 10.
Garcia blocked four shots, Lade dished out 42 assists and senior
Lixai Perez finished with 41 digs. Â
TAMIU is in action next at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 7 against Fort Lewis College in the Fort Lewis Tournament.
