Denver, Colorado- The Texas A&M International Cross Country team headed to Denver this weekend to compete in the South Central Regionals meet. It was below forty degrees in Denver and up to 30 inches of snow had landed all over areas in Denver as the Dustdevils took on the weather as well as numerous nationally ranked opponents. Both the Men and Women's field had numerous top 25 ranked teams and individuals competing in the race, some of which have a chance at winning a national championship.

The men's cross country team competed in the 10k event. The team finished with an average time of 35:13, finishing 17
th overall.
Josphat Langat lead the team with a team of 34:37.
Lewis Too was the next finisher for the Dustdevils with a time of 35:01.
Donald Kipsang completed the 10k race in 35:04.
Emmanuel Langat claimed a 35:34 on the day for TAMIU.
Alan Hernandez rounded out the top five with a 35:50 on the day.
Aldo Cantu finished the race in 38 minutes and
Jorge Sanchez finished in 38:05.

The women's team competed in the 6k event on the day. The team finished with an average time of 29:36, finishing 25
th overall.
Mercy Kosgei led the way for the Lady Dustdevils with a time of 26:36. Next up,
Laura Jeptoo made her way around the course in 27:50. Jazlynn Villalobos followed with a time of 29:05 for TAMIU. Kaitlynn Sierra completed the course with a time of 31:11.
Rose Iminza rounded out the top five with a time of 33:18 for the squad.

Benny Rodriguez had the following to say about his team,

"We struggle with the elements, but I guess every team that competed today did as well. Our season is over, and we now have to look forward to the next year. It was a learning experience for both squads coming out to Denver and running in a foot of snow."
