Denver, Colorado- The Men's and Women's Cross Country team went to Denver, Colorado this weekend to compete in the Metro State Invite. The Men's side had 14 total teams in the field while the Women's side yielded 13.
Leading the way for the Men's team 8k was
Donald Kipsang who finished in a time of 25:44 finishing within the top 30.
Josphat Langat and
Lewis Too finished back to back with a time of 26:26. Sophomore
Emmanuel Langat finished with a time of 27:48.
Jorge Sanchez finished with a time of 28:45.
Alan Hernandez finished with a time of 29:24 and
Aldo Cantu finished with a time of 30:27 to round out the race for the Dustdevils.
On the Women's side it was
Mercy Kosgei who led the way for the women's 6k. Kosgei finished the course in a time of 26:33.
Laura Jeptoo finished with a time of 26:46. Jazlynn Villalobos finished with a time of 26:51.
Valerie Esparza finished in 28:25.
Rose Iminza completed the race with a time of 29:05. Kaitlynn Sierra rounded the race out for the Dustdevils with a time of 29:05.
The Dustdevils will compete again on October 5
th at the Dallas Baptist University Invitational.
