AUSTIN, Texas - Yesterday, FloTrack released the next edition of its 2025 College XC Rankings presented by HOKA. This second ranking set features 32 teams and 50 individuals on the men's and women's sides
On the men's side, the top four teams retain their positions. Colorado School of Mines had a strong run to win the Lucian Rosa Invite, and further solidify its hold of the top spot. Lee (TN) jumps into the top ten after a third place finish at Lucian Rosa.
Individually, two newcomers break into the top ten; Ahmed Ibrahim (Alabama Huntsville) and
Ian Rono (Texas A&M International). Ibrahim is a grad-transfer from the University of Alabama, and he made his Alabama-Huntsville debut with a win at Lucian Rosa in 24:10. Rono is a freshman - and he posted a 23:26.6 (4.97M) win at the Mountaineer Hill Country Invitational. They now occupy the #5 and #7 positions in the FloTrack College XC Rankings.
On the women's side, West Texas A&M retains the top team spot. The squad is currently 2-0 on the season and they have four women ranked inside the top-20. No new teams entered the Top Ten.
Individually, Hannah Hartwell jumps to the top notch in the set. She scored a big win at the 32nd Joe Vigil Open, covering the 5,000m course in 16:49.3.
Sophie Taarud moved from eleventh in the rankings to ten after her win at the Roy Griak Invitational.
These rankings are subjective - but factor championship experience, talent and consistency.
