2017:
Made 13 appearances a freshman recording one assist and four shots in 278 minutes. He recorded his lone assist of the season in a 2-0 victory over Oklahoma Christian on Sept. 30. Played a season-high 64 minutes in a 2-1 overtime victory over Eastern New Mexico on Sept. 23. 

High School: United High School
Played soccer for the Longhorns where ranked as the 146 player in Texas by MaxPreps. He was named the Laredo Morning Times Offensive Player of the Year as a senior scoring 16 goals and six assists for 38 points as a midfielder/forward. He finished his two-year varsity career with 31 goals, 14 assists and 76 points.
 
Personal:
Aaron Alvarez is the son of Jesus Alvarez and Rebecca Hewett and has two siblings, Richard and Kayla. He chose to attend TAMIU because he wanted to stay close to home to go to school. His teammates are the most inspirational people in his life. He plans on attending medical school after graduating from TAMIU. He likes to spend his free time resting or finishing up projects that have to get done.
