Contreras made an immediate impact as a transfer earning All-Heartland Honorable Mention honors after finishing 16th running 23:38.5 for 6,000-meters at the Cessna Activity Center in Wichita, Kan. The Avondale, Ariz. Product also recorded a 52nd place finish at the NCAA Division II South Central Regional Championships running 23:14.95 over 6K at The Range. She had a pair of top-10 finishes beginning with a fifth-place finish at the Islander Splash followed with a sixth-place finish at the UIW Invitational a week later. Finished 30th in her first collegiate race as a Dustdevil running 15:19.27 for 3,900-meters at the Norry Hersey Rice Invite.
