2018:
Sanchez played 17 and started 16 games, had 3 assists, and played for over 1460 minutes for the Dustdevils.

2017:
Sanchez had an immediate impact as a freshman making 10 appearances and 5 starts logging 355 minutes. He recorded his first career shot in a 3-0 victory over Rogers State on Oct. 19. Played a career-high 86 minutes in a 2-0 victory over Lubbock Christian on Oct. 12. 

High School: Del Norte High School
Ranked as the 62^nd best soccer player during the 2016-17 season in California by MaxPreps. Scored four goals and four assists as a senior leading his team to a 15-6-5 record and an appearance in the CIF Southern Regional Soccer Championships. Earned the DNHS Athletic Award four times (2013-17).
 
Personal:
Billy Sanchez is the son of Guillermo and Monica Sanchez and has two brothers, Marco and Carlos. Sanchez chose to attend TAMIU because he liked the school and his teammates. He also wanted to become more independent so he moved further away from California. After completing eligibility and earning his degree, Sanchez hopes to pursue his athletic career and get a job. He enjoys watching movies, sleeping, relaxing and hanging out with friends.
