2021 (Fall):
Orion played in 27 sets in 12 matches and finished the season with 14 kills, and six digs. 

2021 (Spring):
Orion played in 61 sets over 17 matches with 89 kills, 14 digs, and two assists. 

2019:
In an injury shortened season, Orion played in 22 sets in 12 matches with 14 kills, four digs, three blocks  and an assist. Her season best came at St. Mary's where she posted three kills, two blocks and a dig.

2018:
Orion played in 90 sets in 26 matches with 113 kills, 42 blocks, 10 digs, seven aces and five assists. Her career best performance came at St. Mary's, where she logged 10 kills, six blocks and an assist.

High School:
Orion graduated from Bandera High School in Bandera, Texas in 2018 after a successful career on the volleyball court for the Bulldogs. Under head coach Dee Heiner, Orion earned First Team All-District honors during her junior and senior seasons. She finished her career with 859 kills, while earning 2017 Academic All-State honors. She also excelled on the track where she holds ASIL records in the 100-meter and 200-meter dash. Played club volleyball for the San Antonio Force. 
 
Personal:
Rio Judith Summer Sequin Pirate Dejaneiro Orion is the daughter of Kelly Orion and the late Lore Orion, and has one sibling. Her mother, Kelly, played women's basketball at Notre Dame for three years, and was on the program's inaugural team in 1977-78. Her father, Lore, was a well-known singer-songwriter, author and artist, who worked with music industry icons like Waylon Jennings, Billy Joe Shaver, and Jefferson Airplane. She chose TAMIU because she believes it will help her flourish academically, expand her horizons and make her life story more meaningful. She is majoring in Kinesiology.
