2016-17:
Earned All-Heartland Conference Honorable Mention recognition after starting in 28 games for the Dustdevils in 2016-17. He finished second on the team in scoring by averaging 12.0 points per game where he had four double-doubles. He also scored in double figures 16 times including three games with 20 or more. He scored a season-high 28 points on 9-of-12 shooting from the field and 10-for-13 from the free throw line against Dallas Baptist on Dec. 31. He followed that performance up with a 27 point outing against Lubbock Christian just three days late on Jan. 2. He also led the team in rebounding with 5.9 per game with four games with 10 or more rebounds throughout the season. He also led the team in blocks with 41 with no other Dustdevils having more than seven.

Yaboe played basketball for the Pioneers for (2) years. He earned the (2014-2015) Third Team All-Conference, First Team All-Tournament Team, and Defensive Player of the Year Award in that same year. He also earned his Associates and Bachelors Degree in Business Administration & Management Information Systems.

High School: Nusrat Senior Secondary
Yaboe played basketball and volleyball for all (4) years of high school. He was named Team Captain and earned the Athlete of the Year Award.

Club Basketball: Gambia National Team
Yaboe won the Dunking Contest during his time with the National Team.

Personal: Bunja Yaboe is the son of Jarra A. K. Sanneh. Yaboe chose TAMIU for their great coaching staff. His most inspirational figure is his mother. His favorite athlete is Kobe Bryant. In his spare time, Yaboe enjoys spending quality time with family and friends.
