2016-17:
Played in all 30 games for the Dustdevils including five starts during the 2016-17 season. His 10.6 points per game ranked as the third-most on the team while his 5.2 rebounds per game were the second-most of any TAMIU player. He was 123-for 276 (.446) from the field including 20-of-57 (.351) from three scoring in double digits in 16 games. He scored a season-high 19 points twice during the season against Oklahoma Christian and Dallas Baptist. He also had 51 assists, 16 steals and two blocks.

2015-16:
VanDeKop played in 29 games, making 23 starts for the Dustdevils. VanDeKop shot 57% from the field and pulled in 167 rebounds. VanDeKop was named a member of the Heartland Conference President's Honor Roll. 

2014-15: Jacksonville College
VanDeKop continued his collegiate athletic career playing for Jacksonville College in Jacksonville, Florida for (1) season. During his time at Jacksonville College, VanDeKop completed an Associates degree.

High School: Lindale High School (Class of 2012)
At Lindale High, VanDeKop lettered in Basketball for (4) years as a Power Forward and Center. During these seasons, he earned the honors of: All-District, All-East Texas Newcomer of the Year, Offensive Player of the Year, and MVP (x2). He also lettered for (2) years in Football.

Personal:
VanDeKop is the son of Christine and Paul VanDeKop. VanDeKop chose to attend TAMIU because of the basketball program and location. His most inspirational figures are his father and Michael Jordan. His future aspiration is to play professional basketball overseas, and use his accounting degree for furture success. In his spare time, he likes to work out, enjoy time with his family and friends, and play FIFA.
