2021 (Fall):
Herrera played in 42 sets in 18 matches and finished the season with 27 kills, 10 digs, and one assist. 

2021 (Spring):
Herrera played in 22 sets over eight matches with 27 kills, 10 digs, and one assist. 

2019:
Herrera played in 73 sets in 23 matches with 123 kills, 37 digs, 15 blocks, three assists and two aces. Her season best performance came in a five-set loss at DBU, where she logged 10 kills, three aces, two digs, an assist and a block.

2018:
Herrera played in 76 sets in 26 matches with 158 kills, 93 digs, 29 blocks, eight service aces and seven assists. Her career best performance came in a five-set loss to DBU in the Heartland Conference Preseason Tournament, where she posted 15 kills with two blocks.

High School:
Herrera graduated from Alamo Heights High School in San Antonio, Texas in 2018, where she was an All-District player for the Mules. She earned Second Team All-District honors during her junior campaign a year removed from honorable mention honors as a sophomore. She was a member of the National Honor Society while earning honor roll recognition all four years of her high school career. 
 
Personal:
Herrera is the daughter of Gina Hernandez, and has one sibling. She chose TAMIU because I like the coaching staff and feel like it was a good fit for her. She is majoring in nursing.
