OKLAHOMA CITY, Oklahoma (October 1, 2016) - The Texas A&M International University Men's Soccer team continued play on the road, taveling to Oklahoma City on Saturday. TAMIU was dealt a 0-1 defeat to Oklahoma Christian. TAMIU is now 3-6-0 overall (2-4 HC).
An early Eagle goal proved to be the key in Saturday's game. Oklahoma Christian struck first with a goal in the 34th minute of play.
The Dustdevils continued attacking but were unable to net a goal through the final 56 minutes of play.
Rafael Montabes and
Aaron Zuniga each fired three shots in the game.
Roberto Molina played all 90 minutes in net for the Dustdevils.
Head Coach
Claudio Arias commented after the game, "To dominate a game doesn't guarantee you to win. We were poor in front of the goal and paid for lack of concentration."
The Dustdevils continue play Thursday, October 6. TAMIU will take on St. Edward's in Austin, Texas. Play is set to begin at 3pm CST.
