2016:
Machado made 15 appearances including nine starts in his first year as Dustdevil. He registered 730 minutes as a midfielder where he had one assists, 23 shots and 10 shots on goal. His first career assist came in a 4-1 victory over Dallas Baptist on Sept. 17 in Laredo. He played a career-high 75 minutes against West Texas A&M on Sept. 22.

Personal: Marcelo Machado is son of Simone Aiko Arata  and Sidonio Marks Machado. He is joined along with his 3 siblings: Leonardo Motta Marks, Daniel Motta Marks, and Daniel Arata Valverde. He decided to transfer to the university to continue his education and to be able to play at a high level. His most inspirational figure is his father. Machado's aspirations and goals is to earn his Masters degree and to become a professional soccer player. His favorite athlete is Ronaldo Nazario de Lima who played for Brazil and Leonel Messi who currently plays for FC Barcelona and the Argentinian National Team. In his spare time, Machado likes to spend time with family and friends.
