LAREDO, Texas (March 25, 2016) – The Texas A&M International University Baseball concluded their three game series with the Oklahoma Christian Eagles on Friday. TAMIU was dealt a . The Dustdevils are now 12-17 overall and (3-6 HC).
 
The Dustdevils found themselves down 3-0 heading in to the home half of the fourth before answering back to even the game. Ian Acosta drove in Sergio Pollorena on a sacrifice fly. Alex Medina would come across for the second run on a wild pitch. Abel Aguilar would follow that with a game-tying RBI single to left field, scoring Nathan Halas. The Eagles responded with three runs before Pollorena pulled TAMIU back within a run. With William Mora on first, Pollorena launched his third home run of the season, over the left field fence. Oklahoma Christian would add four runs in the seventh and eighth, leading to the final score of 14-5.
 
Pollorena went 5-5 at the plate with two (2) RBI and two (2) runs scored. Halas and Aguilar went 3-5, Aguilar picking up an RBI, Halas with a run scored.
 
Dustin Labit got the start for TAMIU, throwing 4.2 innings, striking out eight (8).  Justin Diaz, Erick Garay, Nick Perales, and Jacob Tello combined for 4.1 innings of relief. Tello allowed just two (2) hits, striking out three (3).
 
The Dustdevils are back in action on April 1. TAMIU will head to Goodwell, Oklahoma to take on the Aggies of OPSU. First pitch is set for 1 pm.
