OKLAHOMA CITY, Oklahoma (March 5, 2016) – The Texas A&M International University Softball team concluded a three game series with Oklahoma Christian University on Saturday. The Dustdevils took a 2-3 defeat. TAMIU is now 12-15 overall (3-3 HC).
The Dustdevils struck first in the second.
Anna Parnin drove in
Chelsea Capello on an RBI double to left center. Okalhoma Christian took the lead in the bottom of the inning, pushing across two runs.
Brandi Giles tied the game in the third, driving in
Brenda Parnin on an RBI single. The Eagles pushed across the final run of the game in the third, leading to the final score of 2-3.
Giles and
Anna Parnin each recorded a hit and one (1) RBI.
Brittany Mussett went 2-4 at the plate for the Dustdevils.
Krystal De La Cruz took the loss, moving to 8-5 on the season. De la Cruz threw four (4) innings, allowing three (3) runs, striking out three (3).
Delainy Thompson pitched the final two innings for TAMIU, allowing no runs on one (1) hit, striking out two (2).
The Dustdevils return home on Tuesday, March 8. TAMIU will take on #10 Tarleton. First pitch is set for 1 pm, game two will follow.
