2016:
De La Cruz made her Dustdevil Debut in the circle in 2016. De La Cruz appeared in 39 games, making 24 starts. She led the Dustdevils staff with 138 strikeouts and 17 complete games. The season was capped off with an All-Heartland Conference Second Team nomination and Heartland Conference All-Tournament team selection.

High School: Eagle Pass High School (Class of 2015)
In her time at Eagle Pass High School Krystal lettered in Softball for (4) years. De La Cruz was named First Team All-District Pitcher in (3) consecutive seasons (2012,2013,2014). Krystal was named Max Preps National Player of the Week, and was ranked #1 in ERA in Division 6A (0.65). She was also the recipient of the 2015 Army National Scholar Athlete Award.

Personal:
Krystal is the daughter of Terri and Luis. She has two brothers, Luis and Mark. Her role model is her Mother. Krystal chose TAMIU because she liked the campus and softball program, and the proximity to her hometown. After TAMIU krystal wants to become a radiologist. In her free time De La Cruz enjoys watching Grey's Anatomy, reading, and long-distance running.
