WACO, Texas -- The men's and women's fields are set for the 2017 Heartland Conference Basketball Championships in Tulsa, Okla. after a thrilling end to the regular season on Saturday that saw the second three-way men's basketball co-championship in conference history.
The 2017 Heartland Basketball Championships will be held at the Union Multipurpose Activities Center (UMAC) in Tulsa, Okla. from March 2 - March 5.
The quarterfinals begin on Thursday with the top two seeds from both brackets in play followed by the conclusion of quarterfinal play on Friday. The semifinals will be Saturday followed by the championship games on Sunday. Sessions will alternate between men's and women's during the quarterfinals with the women playing the early session each day followed by the men.

with military I.D., get in free.
Women's Bracket
St. Edward's secured the top overall seed after claiming the team's first outright Heartland title in conference history with a 13-3 in-conference record. The Hilltoppers will face No. 8 Texas A&M International who clinched the last spot in the tournament on Saturday finishing one game ahead of Oklahoma Panhandle State.
St. Mary's will be the No. 2 seed and face No. 7 Rogers State on Thursday. The Rattlers claimed the second seed by virtue of their No. 7 regional ranking. Lubbock Christian is the No. 3 seed and will face No. 6 Newman for the third time in just over a month. The Lady Chaps will have to defend their 2016 conference tournament championship from the No. 3 spot after losing the tiebreaker to StMU.
UA Fort Smith is the fourth seed and will face No. 5 Oklahoma Christian. The two teams were destined for a matchup the in the tournament, but flipped seeds on the final day with the Lady Lions win over Rogers State.
Men's Bracket
In just the second three-way tie for a conference championship in Heartland history, Dallas Baptist emerged as the No. 1 seed claiming the top spot with a 3-1 combined record during the regular season against Texas A&M International and UA Fort Smith. The Patriots will play eight-seeded Newman on Thursday in the first game on the men's side as they seek to repeat their 2016 Heartland Tournament Championship.
Texas A&M International clinched a share of its fifth conference title in program history, and with a 2-0 record over UAFS earned the No. 2 seed in the tournament. The Dustdevils will face No. 7 St. Mary's in the final quarterfinal matchup on Thursday. UA Fort Smith will be the No. 3 seed and will play No. 6 St. Edward's on Friday.
No. 4 Rogers State and No. 5 Lubbock Christian will face for the third time this season after finishing just one game back of the three conference-champions at 12-6 in league play. The Hillcats beat the Chaps twice this season to earn the fourth spot in the bracket.
