LAREDO,Texas    TAMIU's Junior Forward Peyton Gusters has been selected for the 2026 LSC All-Academic Team after an impressive season with the Dustdevils.  

The Lone Star Conference has selected Peyton Gusters, TJ Thomas (DBU), Mo Austin (ENMU), Mason Courtney (SEU), and Brock Mishak (WTAM) to represent the 2026 All-Academic Team.
These players represented great play on the court and academics off the court. These players were selected by votes from all 17 schools in the conference. 

Peyton Gusters, while maintaining a GPA over 3.30, led his entire team in total rebounds and blocks on the season as a 6'6 forward with 184 rebounds (6.6 reb/g) and 15 blocks. 

This is not the first time Gusters has been awarded in his career as he was named the Defensive Player of the Year before coming to TAMIU in his time at Paris Junior College. 

After wrapping up his first season with TAMIU last week against UT Tyler, Gusters final stat averages were; 6.4 PPG, 6.6 RPG (1st), 0.5 Blk/pg (1st), 55 FG% (2nd)  

Gusters is from Dallas, Texas and is currently pursuing a degree in Multidisciplinary Studies in his time here at TAMIU.
