TAMIU Women's Golf Places Fourth In Nick Turner Invitational

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – Texas A&M International women's golf concluded its fall, non-championship season, placing fourth at the Nick Turner Invitational, hosted by Fort Lewis University.
 
The Dustdevils shot a +18 (605) in the tournament, just six strokes behind team champion Arkansas-Fort Smith.

Redshirt junior Yuliana Yapur again led the Dustdevils individually, shooting E (144) over the 36 holes. In the first round she shot a +1 (73) and followed that with a -1 (71) in the final round.
 
Junior Kristine Torralba placed T-10th in the tournament, shooting a +5 (149). Graduate student Sahara Washington followed behind, T-19th with a +9 (153).
 
Rounding out the TAMIU lineup was freshman Alexa Gonzalez who shot a +15 (159) to place T-41st, while sophomore Kathryn Castro placed T-54th with a 36-hole score of +20 (164).
 
After a successful fall, one that saw the Dustdevils place top five in all four tournaments, TAMIU gets a reprieve, before getting ready for the spring championship season.
