SAN ANTONIO, Texas The TAMIU women's golf team wrapped up the St. Mary Rattler Invitational Tuesday afternoon, placing 7th in the 17-team field. Senior Margret Nyamukondiwa led the Dustdevils to finish 13th individually.
The Dustdevils who now find themselves ranked no. 51 in D2 rankings, competed in three rounds of 18 holes against Lone Star teams such as no.4 Dallas Baptist University that finished first with an impressive ten below par first round.
Nyamukondiwa (70-73-83—226) finished top 15 in back-to-back invitationals with an impressive performance in the first round, going 2 below par and tying first for par threes.
The second round of play was led by Dustdevil Senior Ebba Nordin (77-72-81--230) who finished exactly on par of 72 for the 18 holes.
The third round was led by Dustdevil Sophomore Kiera Monetbon (78-77-75--230) who finished three above par.
TAMIU in three rounds (395-388-410) finished 7th in the invitational and hits the road to play in the Southern Colorado Open in Pueblo, Colorado on March 21-23rd.
