Sheridan, Wyoming. – The Dustdevil golf teams competed at the Travis Roy Memorial Invitational this week, hosted by South Dakota Mines. The women finished second behind
Ebba Nordin's T6 finish and
Juan Monckeberg led the men's team with a top-25 finish.
Women
The TAMIU women's team turned in a strong performance, finishing second overall with rounds of 309 and 301, edging out Colorado Mesa by two strokes.
Leading the way for the Dustdevils was
Ebba Nordin, who carded rounds of 76 and 72 to place tied for sixth individually.
Kiara Montebon (77, 76) finished tied for 14th, followed closely by
Margret Nyamukondiwa (77, 77), who ended just one stroke back.
Agathe Lacoste (79, 79) and
Emilynn Tran (82, 76) both finished tied for 24th, rounding out a balanced team effort.
Men
On the men's side, TAMIU finished 11th in the team standings after posting rounds of 319 and 312.
Juan Monckeberg paced the Dustdevils with rounds of 76 and 73, placing him in a tie for 21st.
Elvis Steen followed with consistent rounds of 78 and 78 for a total of 156.
Brody Polzin finished at 162 (82, 80), while Caleb Guerra (83, 82) and
Theodor With (84, 81) rounded out the lineup.
