ARLINGTON, Texas – Texas A&M International women's golf wrapped up play at the Lone Star Conference Championship on Wednesday.
After 54 holes at the Par 72, 6,006 yard Texas Rangers Golf Club, the Dustdevils finished in seventh place with a card of 893 (+29).
"It was a great week at our first ever Lone Star Conference Championship for our women," said head coach Rudy Gonzalez. "This is truly the strongest conference in the country, and we could not be prouder of this group of golfers for competing with the best in the country. Our women had the strongest conference tournament in program history, and the best season in program history. We will get stronger and be back ready to move this program to the next level."
Yuliana Yapur led TAMIU in a three-way tie for eighth place with a 215 (-1) for the tournament. She sank 11 birdies and one eagle in the tournament.
Kathryn Castro was next in a tie for 28th after shooting 224 (+8). Annika Cedo finished in a three-way tie for 34th after turning in a card of 228 (+12). Suthasinee Sridet finished in a four-way tie for 40th with a performance of 230 (+14). Arya Gadekar rounded out the group in a tie for 51st with a 237 (+21).
