DALLAS, Texas – Texas A&M International women's golf concluded play at the West Super Regional Preview hosted by DBU on Tuesday, finishing ninth in the 16 team field.
The Dustdevils concluded the tournament shooting a +53 (917). The first round saw a score of +21 (309), a second round of +17 (305) and a final round score of +15 (303).
"It was a challenging golf course, but we fought for some quality Lone Star and West head-to-head wins," said head coach
Rudy Gonzalez. "It was good to look at what we will face at regionals. We will work to clean things up and get competitive on a national level this spring."
Redshirt senior
Yuliana Yapur ended the tournament with a T-16th finish, shooting a +5 (221) over the three rounds to lead TAMIU. Her best round was today's final round of +1 (73).
Sophomore
Bailey Anderson followed just behind with a +8 (224) to settle in T-20th on the leaderboard.
Senior
Kristine Torralba and redshirt junior
Arya Gadekar matched each other with a T-56th, both shooting +20 (236).
Junior
Tanika Yadilokwong's rounded out the order ending T-76th with a closing score of +28 (244).
The Dustdevils conclude the fall portion of the schedule in just two weeks, taking part in the Lincoln Memorial Invite, Monday, Oct. 17-Tuesday, Oct. 18. The tournament is being held in Jekyll Island, Ga
