RICHARDSON, Texas - Texas A&M International sophomore guard Tiras Morton earned Lone Star Conference Defensive Player of the Week announced on Monday.
Morton had a well-rounded weekend for TAMIU to help the team improve to 4-0 overall with two wins.
In Friday's 74-60 win over Western Colorado, Morton put together a stat line of eight points, three rebounds, three blocks and a steal in 23 minutes off the bench.
In Saturday's 73-62 upset win over No. 15 Colorado Mesa, Morton played in 20 minutes off the bench and had five points, two rebounds, three steals and a block. Morton helped the Dustdevils opponents 61 points per game.
