Sahara Washington closed the opening round of the NCAA Division II Women's Golf West Regional with the individual lead, while helping TAMIU sit atop the team leaderboard.
As a team, the Dustdevils shot a +1 (289) in the opening round and will enter round two with a four shot lead on Texas A&M-Commerce who sits in second.
Graduate student
Sahara Washington had a tremendous first round, shooting a -6 (66) to hold a one stroke lead on the individual leaderboard.
Freshman
Bailey Anderson and graduate student
Annika Cedo both sit T-12th through 18 holes, shooting a +1 (73).
Redshirt junior
Yuliana Yapur ended the day with a +5 (77) to sit T-40th, while junior
Kristine Torralba ended T-56th with a +8 (80).
Round two begins tomorrow morning at 10 a.m. CST/8 a.m. PST and the tee times for TAMIU is as follows:
