PUEBLO, Colo. - Texas A&M International sophomore men's golfer
Mauricio Figueroa concluded the 2021-22 year for the TAMIU men's golf team and himself, placing T-20th in the NCAA Division II West/South Central Regional.
Figueroa finished both the opening round and second round of the tournament with a +1 (72), sitting overall at +2 (144), entering Saturday's final round T-38th.
Figueroa would jump 18 spots up the leader board, concluding play with a -3 (68) in the final round.
"Mauricio was great this spring," said head coach
Rudy Gonzalez. "He really put in the work this year and it paid off with a few wins and solid play this Spring. Looking forward to next fall."
