Anderson, South Carolina – Texas A&M International Volleyball fall to Anderson University in second game of tournament. 

During the first set, the Dustdevils started off the set trailing the Trojans 1-3. The Dustdevils fought their way back as Mackenzie Catalina and Meagan Menchaca racked up the kills. As the fight to 25 continued. The Dustdevils found themselves ahead and won the set 25-20.

The second set started off solid for the Dustdevils as they got ahead by four before the Trojans could warn themselves their first point. Midway through the set the battle was neck and neck until the Trojans found themselves ahead and took the second set over the Dustdevils 18-25.

The sets wins were even going into the third as the Dustdevils found themselves in another battle. It was back and forth as the Dustdevil made it 23-23 towards the end of the set but fell 23-25. The fourth set was similar to the third and the Dustdevils fell 19-25. 

Emma Lade continued to set up the success for the offense as she had 42 assists. Catalina, Menchaca, and Hortelan found themselves leading with kills once again with 18, 16, and 11.  On the defensive end Lixai Perez continued to lead with digs at 15 as well as Giulia Hortelan with 8.

The Dustdevils next game of the tournament will be tomorrow, Sept. 3rd at 8:00am against Catawba.
