OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. – Texas A&M International continued its hot start in Lone Star Conference play, cruising to a 3-0 victory over Oklahoma Christian to improve to 3-0 in the LSC.

The Dustdevils (12-4, 3-0 LSC) fell behind early in set one, 7-4, but would outscore the Eagles (11-6, 3-2 LSC) 21-8 the remainder of the way to bring home a 21-15 set victory.

Set two started the same way in favor of Oklahoma Christian, holding an early 9-5 lead, but yet again, TAMIU found a groove and outscored the Eagles 20-10 the rest of the second set to take a 25-19 victory.

The final set was even early on with the Dustdevils holding a slim 9-8 lead. For the third consecutive set, TAMIU dominated down the stretch, this time to the tune of 16-6 to take a 25-14 match victory.

Mackenzie Catalina dominated on the offensive end, as she led the team with 17 kills in 26 attacks with just one error to hit .615 on the night.

Giulia Hortelan filled the stat sheet with nine kills, 10 digs, one solo block and five block assists.

Emma Lade had yet another great game with a 34 kills, six digs and three service aces.

TAMIU returns home for just the second time this season as it hosts UAFS on Saturday, Oct. 2. Opening serve is set for 2 p.m. from the KCB.
