LAREDO, Texas – Texas A&M International University head men's basketball coach Mac McConnell and head women's basketball coach Nate Vogel hosted a coach's clinic on Thursday inside the KCB Gymnasium for local coaches.

TAMIU Athletics, McConnell and Vogel welcomed Laredo Independent School District (LISD) middle school boy's and girl's coaches to teach them some coaching tools and give them tips on strategy.

"I love connecting with our Laredo community," said Coach Vogel. "I think this coach's clinic was mutually beneficial for both the coaches and me. It was great to connect with some other coaches in Laredo at our middle schools and hopefully the coaches were able to take some ideas from our clinic that they can implement with their own programs."

TAMIU Athletics looks forward to continued partnerships with the Laredo community and the schools in the area.
