Texas A&M International University Welcomes Five Exceptional Players to Their Golf Roster

Laredo, Texas – Texas A&M International Golf is thrilled to announce the addition of five outstanding players to their golf program. These players are set to contribute their talent and dedication to TAMIU's golf program during the upcoming season. 

Zoe Wuermli - Transfer from Northwest Ohio 

Hailing from Heidelberg, Germany, Zoe Wuermli brings a wealth of accomplishments to TAMIU. She has been a standout in the golfing world, boasting titles such as the WHAC Newcomer of the Year for 2021-22 and Back-to-back Player of the Year awards in the WHAC. Wuermli's exceptional skills have earned her recognition as a WGCA All-American Scholar Athlete and a Daktronics NAIA Women's Golf Scholar-Athlete. Her impressive track record includes top finishes in multiple tournaments and a notable T-14th placement at the NAIA National Championships 2023. 

Theodor With - Wang Athletic High School, Romerike, Norway 

Hailing from Romerike, Norway, Theodor With is a rising star in the golfing world. His journey began at the age of 13, and he quickly ascended to the highest tournament level in Norway just two years later. With's achievements include an 8th place finish on the SrixonTour OOM (Norwegian Elite Junior Tour, U19) in 2022 and a remarkable gold medal in the National Junior Team Championship. His dedication and passion for the sport are sure to make a positive impact on TAMIU's golf team. 

Armond Walker - Churchill High School, San Antonio, Texas 

Armond Walker, a standout from Churchill High School in San Antonio, Texas, is set to bring his impressive skills to TAMIU's golf program. With four years on his high school's varsity golf team, Walker has consistently demonstrated his talent and determination. His achievements include being named Second Team All-Region and securing victory at the Smithson Valley Stampede Tournament. Walker's commitment to excellence is a valuable addition to the team. 

Jacob McCawley - The Colony High School 

Jacob McCawley's golfing journey began at The Colony High School, where he achieved the remarkable feat of earning four varsity letters over four years. McCawley's consistent performance on the golf course is evident in his accomplishments, including a second team all-district recognition during his senior year. With a strong foundation of experience and skill, McCawley is primed to make his mark at TAMIU. 

Noah Campbell - Transfer from Eastern Florida State College, Toronto, Canada 

Noah Campbell's impressive journey has taken him from Toronto, Canada, to Texas A&M International University. Graduating from Eastern Florida State College with an AA degree in Business Management, Campbell's golfing prowess is undeniable. With a scoring average of 74.25, he has clinched victory four times on the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour and earned recognition on the AJGA Polo Ralph inspired performances. His dedication and experience are sure to contribute to TAMIU's golf program. 

Texas A&M International University is excited to welcome these exceptional players to its golf program. Their diverse backgrounds, talents, and accomplishments promise to elevate the team to new heights during the upcoming season.
