LAREDO, Texas - Texas A&M International University Men's Basketball announced their 2023-2024 schedule this afternoon.
Kicking off his fourth season as head coach
Mac McConnell and the newest addition to his coaching staff, assistant coach
Gabi Laurent, look to change the fortunes of last season and make a run for the Lone Star Conference Championship.
McConnell's team opens the season on the road against Chadron State, on Friday, Nov. 10, and then against South Dakota Mines on Saturday, Nov.11, times have yet to be determined for both games.
The first home game of the season is slated for Tuesday, Nov. 14 when the Dustdevils host Southwestern Adventist at 3 p.m. from the TAMIU KCB Gymnasium.
The team will be on the road again as they take on Western Colorado University on Friday, Nov. 17 and Colorado Mesa University on Saturday, Nov. 18.
The Dustdevils host three non-conference games on Nov. 22, Nov. 30 and Dec. 2 before two other non-conference matchups on the road against Lubbock Christian University on Sunday, Dec. 10 and West Texas A&M University on Tuesday, Dec. 12.
TAMIU will kick off LSC games on the road as they head to Oklahoma Christian University on Jan. 11 and University of Arkansas Fort Smith on Jan. 13. They will continue on the road for conference matchups against UT Tyler on Jan. 18 and Dallas Baptist University on Jan. 20
The Dustdevils will get to host six more LSC games, the first of which will be against Eastern New Mexico on Thursday, January 25 at 8:00 p.m., as well as matchups with Western New Mexico University, Oklahoma Christian, Texas A&M-Kingsville and more.
