Richardson, Texas - Senior John Achebe earned the Lone Star Conference Player of the Week for Feb. 26 - March 2 on Monday after leading the Dustdevils to a 1-0 week in the final game of the regular season. 

Achebe had a double double (21 points, 11 rebounds) with four steals to help lead Texas A&M International to a 78-53 road win over Texas A&M - Kingsville that secured the seventh seed in the LSC tournament. It will also be the Dustdevils' first appearance in the event.

Achebe, who added four assists, led a unit that held TAMUK to 40 percent shooting. Seven of his rebounds were on the defensive end.
