Laredo, Texas – The Texas A&M International University (TAMIU) women's golf team put up a strong performance at the 2025 Jack Brown Memorial Golf Tournament, finishing tied for second place with Angelo State University. St. Mary's University secured the top spot, winning the tournament with a two-round total of 627 (+51).

TAMIU posted rounds of 319 (76-79-82-82) and 311 (76-76-79-80) to secure their second-place finish, showing improvement in the final round. The Dustdevils were led by strong performances from
Kiara Montebon (76-76, 152) and
Emilynn Tran (79-76, 155), both of whom delivered consistent rounds to keep their team in contention.
Zoe Wuermli (82-79, 161) and
Ebba Nordin (82-80, 162) also contributed to the team's solid overall showing.
In Tuesday's final round, Montebon and Tran stood out as TAMIU's top performers, each carding a round of 4-over 76. Their efforts helped TAMIU battle for the top spot before ultimately finishing just three strokes behind St. Mary's.
Montebon fought for the top individual spot with Orla O'Leary for St. Mary's as the two finished tied at 8-over 152. O'Leary and Montebon played the 18
th hole in a sudden death playoff where O'Leary earned the individual win.
The Dustdevils head to San Antonio on Feb. 24
th for the St. Mary's Rattler Women's Invite.
