Rockwall, Texas –
Margret Nyamukondiwa recorded TAMIU women's golf's best finish at the LSC Championship in program history, tying for third place in the tournament.
Nyamukondiwa finished the tournament with a three-round total of 216 (E). She opened the tournament with her best round of 71 (-1) before firing rounds of 72 (E) and 73 (+1) to finish in third place.
"It's been great to see Margret playing so well this week. She's faced her share of challenges adjusting to a new environment so far from home, but her perseverance is showing in her performance. She's put together some strong golf in what we believe is the toughest conference in the country—the Lone Star Conference, loaded with talent," head coach
Rudy Gonzalez said.
"Now, we patiently await next week's NCAA Regional Selection Show, hopeful for the opportunity to give Margret—and our entire team—a shot at advancing to the National Championship."
