Biography

2018:
Carrion appeared in 12 games making two starts as a sophomore in 2018 where she went 1-2 with one save. She tossed 21 innings allowing 16 runs (9 earned) on 34 hits and nine walks while striking out seven. She record her first career victory against Lubbock Christian on April 27 pitching 1 inning in relief retiring all three hitters she faced. She also picked the save against nationally-ranked Tarleton State going 3 innings allowing two hits and one strikeout in TAMI’s 2-1 victory. 

2017:
The freshman went 0-5 with a 5.16 ERA in the circle in 13 appearances including five starts. The Robstown, Texas native tossed 38.0 innings as she allowed 39 runs (28 earned) on 63 hits with 17 strikeouts while allowing an opponent batting average of .375.

High School: Robstown High School  (Class of 2016)
Carrion played varsity softball all (4) years as a pitcher, 1st and 3rd baseman, and outfielder. She played (1) year of varsity volleyball and was an Athletic Trainer for (3) years. During her time with the Cotton Pickers, she earned numerous recognitions and achievments. In her Freshmen year, she was named MVP, earned All-District Academically, and All-District Newcomer of the Year. In her Sophomore year, she was named MVP, earned All-District Academics, and All-District Offensive Player of the Year. In her Junior year Carrion was named MVP, earned All-District Academic, and All-District First Team Pitcher. In her Senior year, she earned All-District Academic, All-State Academic, Ranked 3rd in her Class, was named Class President, was National Honor Society Vice President, National Technical Honor Society, Skills USA, and was a 4H Club Member for (10) years.

Club Softball: Firecrackers DFW (Gold Poole)
Carrion played Pitcher and 1st base for the Firecrackers. She was a member of the Nationally Ranked Frecracker DFW Team.

Personal: Victoria "Tori" Carrion is the daughter of Ayde and Eric Carrion and is joined by her (2) siblings Ricardo and Gabriella. Carrion chose TAMIU becuase it was part of the A&M System as the university's size was just right for her and because the professional academic and athletic staff made her feel right at home. Her most inspirational figure is her mom because she is an all aroung great person in which she strives to be everyday. Carrion's goal is to become a Physical Therapist to be able to work and help people with sport related injuries. Her favorite athlete is Mike Trout, a professional baseball player who playes center fielder for the Los Angeles Angels. In her spare time, Carrion enjoys riding her horse "Lena".
