2018:
Cannon earned Second Team All-Heartland Conference during a senior season where she hit .302 with 13 doubles, one triple and three home runs driving in 18 runs for a .421 slugging percentage. Her 12 stolen bases were the second-most on the team giving her 23 for her career. Recorded a career-high five hits against Adams State on Feb. 10 with one double and one home for two RBIs. Hit her first career grand slam against Lubbock Christian on April 27 to drive in a career-high four runs. Was in perfect in the field recording 95 putouts and three assists for a 1.000 fielding percentage. Earned All-Tournament honors for the second consecutive year after going 6 for 12 from the plate in three games while scoring four runs. 

2017:
Cannon started in 54 games as a junior where the Kingsville, Texas native hit .230 with four doubles, two triples, three home runs to drive in eight runs for a slugging percentage of .333 while tallying 18 walks and a team-high 11 stolen bases for an on base percentage of .333. She showed off her leather in the field as she registered 63 putouts with two assists and one error for a fielding percentage of .985. Earned Heartland Conference All-Tournament Team honors as an infielder after going 4-for-10 with a double and a triple while scoring two runs.

Transfer: Cisco College
Cannon plyaed softball for (2) years for the Wranglers. There, she was First in her conference for stolen bases and 14th in the nation her freshman year. In both years, she was awarded Second Team All-Conference Outfield. She also earned her Associates Degree in Arts while she was there.

High School: Riviera Kaufer High School (Class of 2014)
Cannon played Volleyball for all (4) years as the libero, Softball all (4) years as a shortstop, ran track for (2) yeears, and basketball for (1) year. In volleyball, Cannon earned All-District Libero for (2) years. In softball, she earned Second Team All-District and was mentioned all (4) years as All-State Honorable Mention.

Cannon was part of the 10U Regional Championship Team.

Personal: Cassie Cannon is the daughter of Laurie and Lewis Cannon, and is joined by her lone brother Dallas. Cannon decided to come to TAMIU because of the university's beauty and because she enjoyed the coaching staff and thought it would be a great fit for her. Her most inspirational figure is her mother Laurie. Cannon's future  aspirations is to become a softball coach so that she can teach kids what she knows and show them why she loves the game so much. Her favorite athlete is Sierra Romero who was a collegiate (4X) All-American softball player. In her spare time, Cannon enjoys swimming, talking, factiming friends, napping, and eating.
