Hale saw time in 72 sets in 24 games with 2 starts for the Dustdevilsduring her freshman season in 2017. She registered 15 digs (0.21/set) to go along with 7 service aces and one assist for a total of 7 points. She recorded a season-high 3 digs on Sept. 2 against Southern Arkansas.

High School: Vista Ridge High School
Hale graduated from Vista Ridge High School where she played Volleyball. During her time at Vista Ridge, Hale earned Academic All-District honors. 

Personal:
Shelby is the daughter of Melissa Hale and Lavon Perrin. She is a sister to Austin Hale. Hale chose TAMIU for the opportunity to play volleyball. Her most inspirational figure is her Mom. After TAMIU, Hale will attend graduate school to earn a doctorate in Psychology. In her free time, Hale enjoys doing homework or doing work as an RA.
