2018:
Gonzalez appeared and started in 46 games as a senior in 2018 where he hit .244 with nine doubles and team-high five home runs to drive in 26 runs for a slugging percentage of .390 with 13 walks and three sac fly’s for a .298 on-base percentage. Finished the season with nine multi-hit games including a pair of 3-hit performances. Recorded a team-high 213 putouts, 30 assists and 10 errors for a .960 fielding percentage. 

High School:
Gonzalez played baseball at Foy H. Moody High School, Corpus Christi TX. He was awarded All State, and All-District.

Club Sports: Baseball

Personal: Gonzalez is the son to Debbie and Rick. He is the brother to Adriana and Audrey. Gonzalez chose TAMIU because he felt right at home on his first visit to campus. His dad is his inspirational figure. Gonzalez says he has not decided on what he wants to do after TAMIU. He is still just a kid chasing his dreams, but he is sure that his degree will come in handy.
