2018:
Acuna finished her historic four-year career appearing in 59 games including 58 starts in 2018 where she hit .231 with six doubles and one home run to drive in 18 runs for a .284 slugging percentage. She also walked a team-high 15 times while stealing six bases for an on-base percentage of .292. She recorded three hits on three different occasions with the last coming against nationally-ranked Angelo State on April 16. Hit her only home run of the season in TAMIU’s comeback victory over Lubbock Christian on April 27 in Lubbock. Finished her career with the most starts in program history, 218, and games played, 219. She also ranks in the Top 10 in at-bats (5^th, 618), hits (8^th, 151), RBIs (8^th, 83), doubles (8^th, 29), walks (6^th, 62) and total bases (10^th, 194). 

2017:
Acuna got the nod in 51 games during her junior season where the La Mirada, Calif. hit .207 with five doubles, and two home runs to drive in 20 runs for a slugging percentage of .286 while tallying 21 walks for an on base percentage of .315.  She drove in a season-high three runs in a victory over Texas A&M-Commerce on March 21 going 3-for-3 with two long balls.   

2016:
Acuna started in all 59 games for the Dustdevils. Over the course of the season Acuna tallied 50 hits and 31 RBI. Acuna was tied for second most doubles on the team with 12.

2015: 
As a Freshman Alyssa started 50 games. She had 33 hits and 14 RBI.

Club Sports: Softball
Alyssa played for the So Cal Wicked 18&Under (Gold) out of La Habra, California for (3) years. 

High School: La Mirada High School (Class of 2014)
Alyssa lettered in basketball for (2) years, and softball for (4) years. As a Shortstop Acuna was named the MVP.

Personal:
Alyssa is the daughter of Bella and Auggie Acuna. She has a sister, Gisele. Alyssa chose TAMIU because she wanted to be somewhere new. Her role model is her Dad. After TAMIU Alyssa wants to travel with teammate Delainy Thompson. In her spare time she enjoys playing videogames.
